Cube it up!

We had to construct a 4x4x4 cube with interesting corners with bristol board held four inches off of a 8x8 base. I began making my cube, where I made slits down the diagonal corners and inverted every second tab. I got the idea to group the straws in the center from the idea of a tree house. I cut sections out of the a straw that was lined up with the corner of the cube and are the same size as the inverted sections on the cube. I used a piece of cardboard as a base and carved out squares to continue the pattern. I used the idea of continuity to make the corners more pronouced.
